Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
BMore Mobile Physical Therapy is considered an 'out-of-network' provider with all insurance companies. Therefore, although payment is required at the time of service, a percentage of your out-of-pocket expenses will most likely be reimbursed to you directly by your insurance carrier. payment plans are also available and can be discussed in your free consultation session. We will help facilitate this reimbursement process by providing you with a claim form or a 'super-bill' that you can then submit to your insurance company. We recommend that you contact your insurance company in advance to find out what your out-of-network benefits are.
What types of sessions are available?
In-person sessions are mobile — I come to your home, office, or gym anywhere in Baltimore City and County. Virtual sessions are available for all Maryland residents and are conducted via secure video. Many patients use a mix of both, especially once they understand their home program.
Do I need a referral?
Based on the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) website all 50 states and the District of Columbia have approved direct access to physical therapists, meaning you do not need to go to a doctor first when you are seeking a licensed physical therapy. However, some insurance policies can require a referral, so be sure to check your health care coverage.
How much does it cost?
Individual sessions are $200/hour. Package rates are available with a minimum of 6 sessions —see the Packages page for full pricing on in-person, virtual, and hybrid options. Packages offer meaningful savings and include extras like unlimited text check-ins and priority scheduling.
What should I bring with me to my first appointment?
Please bring completed intake forms, loose-fitting shorts, a tee shirt, a sports bra/tank top for our female patients. It is sometimes helpful to bring a list of questions you may have been thinking about prior to your first visit.
What can I expect from the initial evaluation?
The initial evaluation is consistent with getting to know your present and past medical history that have led to your current symptoms. I will be assessing your range of motion, strength, joint mobility, stability, balance and sometimes perform special tests to provide a proper diagnosis for your current condition. We will talk about your specific goals and come up with a plan of care together that will help you reach those goals. The remainder of your initial visit depending on time will be spent in a treatment so that we can start your healing process and learn how your body responds to physical therapy. We will discuss your prognosis and how many sessions of therapy you are going to need.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends entirely on your condition, how long you’ve had it, and how consistently you’d do the home program. Most patients with acute issues see significant improvement in 3–6 sessions. Chronic pain patients typically work on a longer plan — 8–12 sessions over 2–3 months. I’ll give you a realistic prognosis after your first evaluation.
Can I do virtual PT for the same results?
For many conditions — especially chronic pain, postural issues, movement retraining, and exercise progression — virtual PT is highly effective. I can assess your movement, guide hands-on techniques you do yourself (with coaching), and progress your program entirely through video. It’s a legitimate, evidence-based option. Some conditions do benefit from hands-on treatment, and if yours is one of them, I’ll tell you honestly.
